We were near pier 66 in Seattle on Sunday and Monday and saw the Encore docked both days. Yesterday morning it was gone. Does anyone know what’s up with the Encore? Just curious.

Repositioning!  Heading to port in Miami for a season.

Because of the incoming storm systems and possible hazard to the shipping lanes of the mouth of the mouth of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, She was held until about 6:30 P.M. Monday evening.  Last Thursday a cargo ship 46 miles off the mouth of the Strait of Juan de Fuca lost about 44 cargo containers into the ocean (so far only 10 have been located).  Traffic into and out of the Strait was closed for a few days.  At the moment The Encore is off the Northern California coast heading for the Panama Canal (due on 9 November).

We got off her late Saturday morning, almost lunchtime.  At that time, they were telling us a delay of a day or two was possible due to weather.

The crew was in good spirits but craving chips of any kind as they can't leave the ship and the crew store is lacking.  If you are boarding an NCL ship anytime soon, do the crew a favor and bring some Pringles, Doritos etc and give a bag to  your favorite crewmember.  They will love you for it.

Yes the weather and the fire on the cargo ship delayed the departure
