endlessflight Posted November 1, 2021 #1 Share Posted November 1, 2021 Wondering if there are any Canadians onboard the Polarlys on Feb 1st 2022. I have just booked my flights home on the 13th Feb and then realized today that we need to get a PCR test to return to Canada. I think Hurtigruten only does antigen tests. Have searched for answers in Bergen but not having a lot of luck. Will probably need to delay flights. Any info you might have will be appreciated. hallasm Posted November 1, 2021 #2 Share Posted November 1, 2021 Unfortunately longer stops southbound is late evening/ during night - option might be a test in Trondheim - see link - but you probably need to delay your flight if PCR test still required. waiting2retire Posted November 10, 2021 #4 Share Posted November 10, 2021 Don’t mean to hijack your thread @endlessflight, but I thought Canadians are not allowed entry to Norway at this time. I have booked a Norwegian Fjords cruise in May and am very concerned about what will happen if this restriction continues. Am I missing something? I’m not a specialist in Norwegian travel restrictions however I think it’s more a matter of ‘valid documentation’ - “QR code which can be verified by the Norwegian authorities”. Rules and requirements are changing over time. “Fully vaccinated people and those who have had COVID-19 during the past six months are exempt from entry quarantine if they have valid documentation. Only presentation of a COVID-19 certificate with a QR code which can be verified by the Norwegian authorities is considered a secure and verifiable way to document vaccination or previous illness.” Link to Norwegian health authorities

Unfortunately at this time Norwegian authorities do not accept Canadian documentation. We appear to be on the “short list” of countries that should have travel restrictions lifted but no information as to when this might happen and going into winter, it is likely that the number of cases here will increase somewhat. I’m keeping a close watch on the situation!
