FengShui@Sea Posted November 3, 2021 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2021 I have read that if the cruise you are currently taking on Regent will have you crossing the threshold to your next Loyalty level that you will instantly be awarded the perks that that new Loyalty brings. We are sailing on the Explorer in April 2024 and seven days into the 18 day cruise we will have crossed from Silver into Gold with the Silver Seas Society. We normally sail in Concierge or above for the 4 connection wifi service, but if we can book a Superior cabin and still get that benefit it would certainly save us some money. The wifi connections is the only benefit in upgrading to Concierge that we would enjoy on this cruise.
Anchorbuoy Posted November 3, 2021 #2 Share Posted November 3, 2021 You will get your new loyalty level the day that you board. You do not need to wait until the exact day. The cruise consultant onboard will assist getting your new credentials and benefits. Generally, he/she has a list in advance of who needs to walked through the new level. 1

Portolan Posted November 3, 2021 #4 Share Posted November 3, 2021 (edited) I'd only add that you won't actually have to seek out the cruise consultant. Your ship card which you receive when you board will show your new status and things like the number of wi-fi connections will be automatic. Only if this isn't the case (unlikely) will you have to raise the issue with the staff. Besides the 4 connections, don't forget the $100/pp shipboard credit (given as a offset to the "loss" of a laundry benefit since now everyone gets laundry included) and 2 more hours of ship-to-shore phone service (3 total hours). Even if you use Skype or other forms of wi-fi calling, the STS phone is always a better connection than via wi-fi (uses a separate satellite connection, or at least use to). It does use a separate connection.
Stefken Posted November 10, 2021 #6 Share Posted November 10, 2021 Where does it say $100 SBC for loss of laundry benefit please. I’ve not seen it in any information we have. Thanks
Stefken Posted November 10, 2021 #7 Share Posted November 10, 2021 It’s ok I’ve found the info, we are silver but go to gold on our next cruise. So I hope it’s noticed by the cruise consultant on board. Nice to have a few little treats to look forward too. Happy cruising
