I was on Divina on Sept.24 as my first MSC cruise. I loved Ocean Cay and had a great time. The food was OK but not fantastic, although the pizza was really good. I’m glad to hear it’s better, but aI think some of this is a consequence of the pandemic across lines. My wife and I sailed Princess in October and their buffet wasn’t nearly as good as I remember from our last cruise in 2019.

I’m going back for another 4 day on the Meraviglia in December to see the difference in boats. I REALLY hope we don’t miss Ocean Cay 😞

We are doing the same thing for the same reasons! This time though we got an upgrade offer to bid for the yacht club and won!  Should prove interesting!

What services did you have to make a reservation for in the "thermal" suite?  Divina does not  much of one to begin with.  Looking to get a Spa Pass in Feb/Mar on the Sunshine but not if I have to make a reservation each time I want to go to the Thermal Spa.

oops that should have said the Seashore, wrong cruise line😂

If you are a Gold/Diamond member you technically can get a one hour Pass to the thermal area (SUPER limited on the Divina) but you must make an appt for it.  If you get a pass or are Yacht Club I believe you can access as you wish.

LOL!  We are doing the YC on Meraviglia in January but I might take a little exploratory cruise in December just to check her out.  I do believe that our Sept 17th Divina cruise was a victim of "re start" woes and misfires.

I can confirm that my pants are a wee bit tight today as a testimony to the pasta/pizza/etc that I enjoyed.

Thanks! I know in Dec. of 2019 we were on the Seaside for 3 weeks and one of the weeks you had to make an appt. for the Diamond Thermal Spa benefit.  The other 2 weeks you did not have to make an appt.

We have easyplus drink package did you notice if there were any $9 cocktails on the bar menus?

Particularly espresso martinis or old fashioned?😬

We are onboard the Divina right now.  Here are some pics of the drink menus:C9A08514-B059-494A-8FCF-77EDF325E13E.thumb.png.7375c8bab0ceeb1bb203ba2060d91f87.png7087844E-EC18-4286-BBB4-F92FA43A0585.thumb.png.162f8ccdf9155a137a122c1d5d76fef7.png68DC576B-4083-4284-8740-BA7B997CD4B4.thumb.png.eae515a63e8138a2ae0727585c42fc19.png47F3A375-31B3-4190-B5A1-08380E92DE4F.thumb.png.7fa90ff9260adebb70bea47026823c3b.pngBC9F6EA1-D9B6-422D-8E29-8BACA30B43F9.thumb.png.8b4ebed92191307dea775e09d4425716.png

Yes, we are having a great time, thanks!  We are at Ocean Cay today, unfortunately it has been lightly raining all day but it seems to have stopped now..  Ocean House is closed and Le Muse is open for lunch.  Some excursions are still running - we have seen the wave runners going out.

Regarding passengers onboard, our butler said there are 1600 onboard, 100 of which are in the Yacht Club.  In speaking with one of the guys working in the gym, he said there were 1100. lI’ll keep asking lol

Well if you do the December 5 cruise and get the upgrade offer we got the yacht club for five dollars over minimum bid. Our original booking was for a free balcony upgrade. And there are a lot of yacht club cabins still available. See ya there!!

If I didn’t have to pay 2X (I’m by myself on Dec. 5) I would have bid for YC. I’ve never been in anything nicer than a “mini suite” and would like to see what all the fuss is about.
