Future cruise booking. Book now or wait until onboard next cruise?

Anxiously awaiting next O Cruise trip Feb2022

Very interested in a 2023 interesting itinerary.  Several dates offered with only guaranteed or wait list availability across all categories.

What is the best strategy?  Book and deposit now?  Or, wait two months and attempt to reserve once onboard our upcoming cruise?

Benefits, disadvantages?

Thanks in advance for all insight, experience, and knowledge!

Don’t wait, bookings are going so fast you will just be left out in the cold. There are no new itineraries being released until next spring so what you see is what there is. We are on Riviera now and the lines of people booking with the Club Ambassadors can be long.
Good luck 🛳

If you are full paid on an upcoming cruise Oceania will allow you to book a future cruise with the same reduced $250pp deposit as onboard booking within 45 days of embarkation.  So you can avoid lines on the ship and still transfer your cruise to your travel agent.

An O rep called me at 9:30pm one night to share that with me after I had saved a cruise on their website.
