Preferred Port used by Hurtigruten in Iceland?

I do not know for sure but in several places mentioned  ‘Port of Reykjavik’.
However, I would choose to spend the night(s) in Reykjavik itself and use the opportunity to see and experience the city - not much to experience in Hafnarfjörður. A taxi from Reykjavik to Hafnarfjörður will not be the big problem.

Thank you for the suggestion, Hallasm.  We are quite familiar with Reykjavik and have taken several Hurtigruten voyages out of the port there, as well as stayed at local hotels.  The reason I ask is that we were on a Ponant ship a couple of months ago and they docked in Hafnarfjörður and it made me wonder whether other ships might do the same thing.
