Carnival Knitters

My husband and I are taking our son and daughter-in-law on their first cruise in a couple of weeks. She is an avid knitter and will want to relax and do some knitting while on board.  I have searched the FAQ's but find nothing about restrictions carrying on knitting needles. I understand restrictions on scissors and have that covered.  I tried posting the question on John Herads facebook page but just got crickets.  She mainly uses circular needles.

 

Any knitters out there that have experience in this?

I will say a several years back I noticed a Lady knitting a beautiful Carnival ship while attending the Diamond party. That thing was beautiful as well as amazing. The Captain wrapped it around him and did a little dance for her amusement.

I take my cross stitch with me when I sail solo.  Carnival has never said anything about the small pair of scissors I have in my luggage.

I take crochet hooks on every cruise and most flights.  Never been questioned.  She can always hedge her bets by taking needles other than metal.  EM

I crochet, and take small scissors. My husband takes his pocket knife. We haven't had any trouble with those items. I can't swear that I've seen people knitting, but I believe I have.

I bring knitting almost every cruise.  Metal needles, circulars, wooden, taken all types and a small notions bag that includes scissors.  Never any problems!
