Upgrades to ocean view, balcony and club suites can occur any time from when you bid to 24 hours before departure. 

 

Final upgrades and Haven upgrades normally Monday 12/20 to Tuesday 12/21. Last minute upgrades as late as 24 hours before departure.

I got our notice today that our upgrade was accepted. We sail on 12/26.

If you are eligible for upgrades, you will get an email. And when you log on to your NCL account, there will be a big splash banner “Let’s get you Upgrade:”. Some travel agents do not participate. Right. Ow about 55 days prior to departure.

if you dont see an email from ncl, log in and when it shows "check your reservation" if they are offering you a chance to bid for an upgrade, it will say "let's get you upgraded" and give you the cabins that you are eligible to upgrade and the suggested bid(s).  

 

if no email, and no "lets get you upgraded notice" unfortunately you probably do not qualify for the offer

I put in the lowest bid, not caring if I got upgraded and it was accepted.
