Hello,

I received the kit. Planning on cruising Jan.2 (maybe...)

When should I take the test, and do I require an appointment?  I don't see where I can book an appointment, and am nervous about testing too soon, or that they won't be open Jan. 1.

I'm driving to a US airport and flying out same day as the cruise...

You don’t say what cruise line you are with but if they are like some others you will need to do the test within two days of boarding.

 

There is nowhere to book an appointment with Switch Health.  You just log onto their site and wait for a nurse to become available.

 

Good luck with your travel and testing!  I am sure you must be nervous with that timeline.

Oh, I just disembarked from the Nieuw Statendam yesterday!  When you get to the terminal you will want to have out your passport, vaccination document, and negative covid test.  That’s the first thing they will ask for once inside.  You will then go to a facial recognition kiosk so keep your passport out as it will be scanned to make sure it matches your online checkin on the HAL site.  

 

When you disembark they won’t need to see your passport as you will step to the facial recognition machine and it will match you to the scan they took at boarding.  After that you’re on your way.
