We are at Chops last night. Great meal, had the rib eye, my wife had the spicy shrimp,  both were fantastic. The bacon is still my favorite app. Sorry forgot to get pics

I still have to say that Fahrenheit 55 has it over Chops. But that's about the only thing 🤔

If you meant Fahrenheit 555 on Carnival then you don’t want to try the one on the Mardi Gras.  The service, the food was a bad experience.  The “bacon” is much better at Chops.  I ordered the “bacon” Mardi Gras and it was the same as the pork belly they serve at ChaiBang (complimentary dinning).  I was wishing for Chops while dinning on the Mardi Gras.

Omg, that bacon at chops is to die for!! Agree it's truly one of the best appetizers I've ever had. Going back to chops tonight for NYE special dinner- hope it's on the menu.

So, watched the video and see most people don't even have a mask to pull up - no food or drink in sight. Is this the norm?

Most everyone comes in n with a mask, once your in the bar you can take it off drinking and eating. Just like on land. No difference.   I'm not sure why people think cruising will be any different than on land when it comes to compliance? Some people no matter what will not follow the rules. Most do tho. The staff is not there to police everyone.  Do you have staff asking people to pull masks up, of course, do they, ehhh some do some don't. Just like everywhere else. Most people don't keep their masks around their chin, once I'm in eating or drinking the mask comes off in a pocket. My ears can't take that. You can't eat or drink at the actual bar, only order, maybe what your seeing is that. Believe me, everyone in there was drinking, maybe not eating but those bar staffers we're run ragged during the game.

Good morning from Nassau. We have 2 port guests this morning. Freedom and on the opposite side, the dreaded Symphony!

Have a spa appt at 12 and then we'll just walk off the ships this morning and try and make our way to the new Margaritaville hotel to buy some shirts.

I'm guessing all those blue lagoon tours are going to be packed with these 3 large ships in port. Good luck.

A couple pics of the rooms right off the elevator bays.  This is the front starboard side. Nice big area, no elevator noise at all.

Our room, the last one before the ship juts in.

Great wayfinders everywhere around the ship.

How was the port in the Dominican Republic?

Did you go to a beach and if so, which one?

excursion or taxi?

We went to a beach from the ship called Playa Dorada. It was ok. Been to way better. Kinda windy, water was rough. Sand was just ehh.  I don't think I would go back.

Thank you for your replies. I hope the pools are warmer at the end of Jan/beg. of Feb. We were on Celebrity Equinox in Beg. of Dec. The outdoor pools were so cold very few people were in them the entire 12 days!!! Usually the oppostet problem...too crowded to go in them!

Today there were reports of positive COVID for passengers as we departed from Nassau. I personally know this since one positive was pulled from line to load back onto the ship. She was obviously sick when we saw her this morning. We believe she was tested but allowed to continue on shore excursion thank goodness not on our ferry. However we and many were on the ferry with her returning and again she was sick. Upon embarkment, she was pulled aside about 6 feet ahead and told she was positive. She was quite upset and crying  but they let her and her party go on main elevator from 2nd floor gainway to go voluntarily quarantine. This is against protocol. She and party should have been isolated from regular passengers.  I got upset since we were on a shore excursion with them and no one from Royal Caribbean personally escorted her back to her room. I called guest services 15 minutes later very upset that they did not follow protocol. Apologies but no real assurance or action.  I live in ATL and know people at CDC. This will be reported.

I am so sorry this happened to you. Why is there protocols if no one enforced them?
There are people who think they don’t have to follow rules.

If there is no rule enforcement then I don’t want to test pre cruise.

Dosnt make sense to test if positive people can run around on the ship.
