Health Visa to enter Bahamas

PersonapERSONSwho board a cruise coming from The US to The Bahamas are required to obtain a Health Visa by themselves. Effective Friday, September 3, 2021, all cruise ship passengers ages 12 and older must be fully vaccinated to enter a port in The Bahamas, including a cruise line’s private island. Any person who is ineligible for the COVID-19 vaccination due to medical contraindications is exempt from this requirement (documents must be proven to the cruise line and brought). You can NOT add your dates or "Add Trip" until 5 days before your travel date. This is also when you can add your test results, which have to be taken 3 days before your travel date. You can create your account in 2 weeks and can only submit it within 5 days before the travel date. "There is NO slot for modifications after submission, so please check your health visa properly before submitting it". Last sept there were some cruises FROM there, not carnival.

 

Nothing to do with visiting on a cruise ship or carnival.

I noticed this post and thought I had highlighted it somehow🤫. But thanks for the info, news to me.

We went to Nassau on Magic In October. No health visa was required. What was required was a negative test within 2 days of arrival which in our case, we went to Nassau first so were under their threshold, if you wanted to get off the ship.  We went to Atlantis and the taxi let us out at the beginning of the driveway and we walked up just a bit to a security guard who checked our passports and Covid vaccination card before letting us in.

We did the same thing on our cruise.  The entry driveway to the Coral Tower was closed and all arrivals had to stop at that guard.    

They also blocked off the first entrance to Marina Village with chain-link fencing, so now you HAVE to go past the security guard to enter Atlantis.  

Our passports and vacc cards were also checked again when we got our Aquaventure wristbands inside the Royal Tower.
