Thanks. I double checked the details for the Caesars rewards program and as of now it does look like the Gold card will tier match to the Diamond level with Caesars though in the past the match upgrade was available only every other year. Heading up to AC next week and will see what happens.

you can only match Mlife Gold to CET Diamond once

 

Still haven't gotten an email back from mlife member services email. Dunno how long I should wait before I just call

I talked with MGM Rewards today; they are saying that they are behind and that we should get back with (call them) them in two weeks (14 days).  No answer on when they will act on our emails!

I am an absolute neophyte at this . I am MGM bottom tier but D plus on Royal . I will call /email and get the appropriate match. 
 

Does anything I do in the Royal casinos affect my MGM status or is it just my Crown and Anchor tier that affects it?

It is just your C&A tier.  Years ago you could earn tier credits towards MGM by playing in Royal casinos but I think that went away about 5 years ago when Royal re-vamped their players program.

You will match to MGM Gold, biggest perk there is no resort fees at any MGM hotel.

In the old days, I matched my Hyatt status (earned from my United status) to M-Life Gold.  But that was year by year as you could lose your Hyatt status.

 

Then Hyatt changed their program, and the level I get through United only gets me Pearl with M-Life.

 

I emailed about status match to Gold based on my RCI D level.  But may have to call.  It will save some money on an upcoming trip.

That makes sense, as they are trying to get you to switch.

 

Airlines will do that also.

 

I got a higher status with American based on my United status, plus flying so many miles on American within 1 quarter.

 

One time deal.  But the nice thing is, I can maintain my American status by paying for it each year.

Thanks to all the CC members that gave me such great advice.  I called the Mlife member rewards at 866-791-7111 in January.  It took 20 minutes on hold but the Mlife agent was able to upgrade myself and my husband to GOLD after 20 minutes with her.  We are both Diamond on RC.  We mainly visit the Borgata because we live in NJ.  

 

When everything was taken care of by the member rewards agent, I received the emails for me and my DH that we were now Gold with Mlife.  All taken care of with just a phone call.

No, you should be Gold, but they won't do it automatically.  You have to call or stop by an MLife desk at the casino.

I’m so confused. We were MGM Platinum in 2021 as a result of our Pinnacle status. As expected, our MGM status dropped to Pearl. We went to the rewards desk at the MGM National Harbor and requested new gold cards.
 

She took our Platinum cards and replaced them with Gold cards that were EXPIRED!

 

The MGM app now shows us as Pearl but the rewards kiosk still lists us as Platinum? We are staying at the Borgata now, tomorrow I will try to get the resort fee waived. Lou

Please report back.  We will be going to the Borgata next week.  We are diamond with RC and were upgraded by phone and email to Gold in January.  Hopefully, we will be gold when we check in.  We plan on going to the reward desk to make sure we are gold before we check into the hotel.  Hope the resorts fees will be waived.

We’re D on Royal, so a few years ago went to the new MGM National Harbor (MD), and I registered my Gold MLife card. We’re not big gamblers, but we used our MLife card to get $125.00 in OBC for our Dec. 2018 Celebrity cruise. We booked another cruise on Celebrity Apex, followed the next day by a cruise on Harmony for Spring 2021. I called about a year ago to get OBC on one of the cruises, and I couldn’t get it. Of course, we had to lift and shift those cruises to this year. Now we just have to worry about Covid testing. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻We’ll be self-isolating for the month before the cruise. 
 

Has this benefit gone away?  If not, what do I need to do to get it back?  TIA.

One unexpected (would have noticed this if I had read all of the materials re: switch to MGM Rewards) disappointment was the conversion of points to slot dollars, there goes the $12.50 buffet and/or Amphora Lounge at Borgata.  I would much rather have kept the points and will talk to the folks at the rewards desk but I have a feeling this will be a lost cause.

If you got your MGM Gold based on your D status, you cannot use that it get perks back on RCI.  They stopped that a while ago.

 

If you earned your MGM Gold status by playing or status match from another program (Hyatt), you can use your MGM Gold for RCI perks.

Update from the Borgata.  Tried again to get a new Gold card from the MGM rewards desk.  They said they were not doing RCL status matches until Feb 10.

 

she said one system had me at Pearl and the other Platinum.  She took my newly issued, but expired Gold card and gave a new but expired Platinum card.

 

So now it was off to the hotel front seat to try to get the resort fees waived. Same issue, one system showed me Pearl, another Platinum.  The very nice front desk lady too pity on me and waived the resort fees.

 

Had dinner in the Amphora lounge, no issues.

Tourism fee is a city thing and was not waived. It was around $5.

memberservices@mgmresorts.com  I think.  I matched with the old program so it was different, but this should work.
