They re-opened bookings for the cruise ( JS and above available now) and I got right through to an agent as my fare went down. It's taking forever but he is also making a change in passenger for me. Good luck!

Im on 1 hour 10 minutes of him coming on every 3 minutes to say "we are still working. So thank you for your patience" blah blah.

but at least I'm getting it resolved ....just a lotta waiting.

Yes the Feb 13 sailing reopened yesterday after my issue was resolved.  We have a 2 bedroom aqua suite and RCL bookings cannot handle more than 4 people so they booked 1 child on a separate booking and somehow it got automatically cancelled.  Luckily that was all fixed yesterday and we are paid in full and ready to go.

Cruise director confirmed no Mama Mia even in the reduced capacity version for this sailing. No loss since we had no interest, but I know a lot look forward to that.

I am surprised the abreviated version is still showing on the royal app. Wish they would update so we can change our dinner reservations.

Oh, no! Colesc15.  I sure hope it just means for this sailing!  It’s the whole show that I hope retiurns. Have seen Mama Mia on stage elsehere, but, except for CATs on a different RCI cruise, have enjoyed all their other musical theater shows. (With re to CATs, hardly any audience stayed. Especially after the first half of the show. Actors had  strong , though English, accents and it was VERY  difficult to hear or understand what they were saying. I forged through it, but my dh & friends we sailed with left.  Saw it later in a community theater and liked it much better! ). Anyway, thanks for the info!   Hope you leave the ship “ahead”!
you deserve it for your reports!

I would have liked to see it. I usually love shows, though I didnt love Saturday night fever on liberty. Felt disjointed and nothing holding it together and then in the middle they threw in that excellent couple who does Latin dancing.

Too bad mama mia isnt shown. Just have to rebook same ship and see it later. At least prices right now are excellent.

FWIW we got the fairly standard email to delay boarding on Sunday by an hour. Hope all is well we look forward to the cruise either way

So far, knock on wood, it's been a very normal cruise and haven't heard a single thing about covid all week other than when we couldn't stop at St Thomas. Today's weather turned crappy and thunder so no sun but still enjoying the pool deck under an awning 20220113_132039.thumb.jpg.d2c197d83aee8e416b9039c0f9b1039e.jpg

You get one when you hit 140 points then one every 70 points after. You get whatever ship you are on at the time on the exact day you hit the points.

Our last one was mailed to us and arrived shortly after we got home.  Saved carting it home in our luggage.

Yes, you have that option but need to let loyalty know. We have plenty of room in our luggage so we let it come to the room this time.

Anyone who is Prime with the casino, can you tell me more? This cruise we have the drink package so the free drinks don't matter, but, I'm guessing only I'm able to get the free drinks in the casino and not my wife even though we have the same seapass card? Is the internet discount a true discount or a Royal Caribbean discount? How do you go about taking advantage of the discounted internet? Lastly, being diamond, and say we didn't get the drink package, I'm assuming the casino drinks being prime wouldn't count towards our four each?

We always skip the drink package and just get our free drinks from the casino bar. We’d usually go before dinner, order a couple drinks and head to the MDR.

Yes only my wife got free drinks but all we did was go to the same bar and find the same bartender every time. Tip him/her good. And s/he usually would do anything for you including giving you 2 drinks at once or give more booze upon request. In addition to the drink, we always ask for a bottle of water. Water doesn’t counts towards the “free drink” apparently. We never run out of bottle water.

Interesting. We may have to consider that for March. I'm guessing when you order a drink you just tell them you're prime so it doesn't pull from your diamond drinks?

We also have the ultimate dining package on next weeks cruise.  Any restaurants you suggest skipping and/or any you’d do twice ?

any chance they have Blantons bourbon on board?  They had in the the bow and stern pub on the freedom a couple years ago and it was included on the package

Not sure on the bourbon. As far as restaurants, we did giovanni's twice and chops 3 times. We did Giovannis for lunch one day. We did Izumi sushi, and we have 150 central Park tomorrow. We opted to skip hibachi due to sitting at a small grill with random people and that would be an easy "close contact" on the covid front.

Surprisingly, the filet at giovanni's I liked more than the filet at Chops

I wonder if Boleros will have cachaca? I have a fondness for Caipirinha’s. First day on one of our cruises they had a sign sitting in front of Bolero’s advertising Brazilian Caipirinhas as a featured drink. When I asked for one, a bartender looked at me like a deer in headlights and said they couldn’t make them because they were out of cachaca. I  was also told to come back the next night but still  no cachaca. That night I suggested they remove the sign because a bartender  told me they wouldn’t be getting any. Why in the world they kept the sign out I don’t know,  but it stayed out all week I don’t know.

Hey, we have 163 points but never got a fake crystal commemorative sign! No big deal. We had a cruise from Australia to New Zealand planned that would have left a few days ago if covid had not come along. Had we been able to do that cruise, we would have reached diamond plus. We chose this one since it is supposed to stop in Puerto Plata, a somewhat newer port for RCI. So we will still need about three more nights I think to reach diamond class after this cruise. While we have cruised close to 50 times, not all were on Royal Caribbean. No suites or high end digs, so our points have only been  based on actual days spent on an RCI ship. ( Love RCI but wish their itineraries would get a bit more imaginative! I know you can’t just add a bunch more islands to the Caribbean but I’ve seen more interesting or varied itineraries listed on a couple of other popular lines.)  Anyway, free drinks, hors d’oeuvres,  cabin discounts and internet are hard to pass up!
