@BennyBrunthanks for a great live review and so many wonderful photos! We were on the Apex ourselves in September (Greece & Dubrovnik), and I am thoroughly enjoying the pics AND your positive tone/enthusiasm. [there are plenty of other threads where people can complain about mask compliance or express worry about their upcoming cruise]. We loved dining in Eden too, felt like such a special experience with delicious and well-presented food. Hope you keep-on having a fabulous cruise 😀🚢😎

Thank you so much.  I understand people worry and are anxious during this uncertain time, but I have to tell you that once you are onboard and practice common sense and do your part ( stranger danger) don’t co mingle too long to avoid close contact trace the cruise felt pretty close to normal or as normal as it can be during this time which contributed to this positive tone on the cruise.  The low passenger count also helped.

We love EDEN!!  That lobster!

Question for those of you that have done a B2B. We are in a suite coming up in a few weeks and wondered if the menu is the same for both weeks or if the have a 14 day menu rotation. Trying to decide which nights we want to book Eden thanks to the wonderful pics by Benny!

Never stayed in a cabin worthy of Luminae or even Blu.  I thought that the menu was constant similar to the specialty venues and only the 4 MDR's changed on a daily basis.

I can tell you though that the turnaround day process was smooth as well as the Covid testing on the prior day.

Loved Eden and looking forward to it again on night 7.  The 4 night package is 165 pp, basically giving you a free night since the per night rate is 55.  We chose 2 nites each at Eden and Fine Cuts.

is there a menu for the 129 dinner and does the meal plan cover it?

They did not show me the menu because it sold out but you can ask when you go onboard.  The dining reservation is across from guest relations.  It is not covered under the dinning package.

Just so you don’t sidetrack this thread, you may want to start a new thread and ask your question there. Just a suggestion.

Let me say this about that:

I am totally impressed by not only Benny's Pictures and the time and effort that's put into the effort, but the ship itself is eye opening impressive.

Never had the feeling like this with comments or reviews for  "The Edge", and just have  been comfortable with S class.

But now I see the difference between the two classes of ships and it's extraordinary.

Someone said it early in this thread- it's like a high end full service resort (but my words, no golf courses).

So I am rather happy Benny started this thread and I do not want  to sidetrack this thread, I just wanted to complement it by saying what I did say.

As I said in some early post, Oasis class is a super playground for the  families and the New E class is the broad age span of adult playground.

Thank you much.  I am so glad that you found some useful information about the E Class.  It is an amazing ship and lots of new things to experience.  A giant playground.

Thank you for all the pictures and descriptions.  I have my cruise scheduled on her early February and I think I will feel a little like Goldilocks looking for just the right chair and just the right porridge😉  So many choices, so little time!

Thank you so much.  Use the daily planner and plan ahead.  If you are doing specialty dinning using a package book as soon as you get onboard for prime time selection!!

No, I thank you. You changed my perception of E class. Its more than a little cut above.

I am also amazed that the internet allows you to post so many pictures.

Now take a break and enjoy it all thru your eyee, not the lens (unless something really cool comes up)

Amazing thread thank you! We are on Apex Feb 12 and just got an email from Celebrity that they are swapping Puerto Rico for Nassau. It's unfortunate as we were looking forward to seeing Puerto Rico for the first time but also have been prepared that ports may change or be missed due to COVID.

I think we are close to the end of the pandemic (my guess is by March everything will be much more normal again). Omicron is so contagious that it will out-compete any other variants, we will have a huge spike in cases then a rapid decline to manageable levels, and so many of us will be exposed that it will nicely supplement vaccine immunity.  Anyways, that's my prediction, here's hoping I'm right (for what it's worth I am an pediatric infectious disease specialist so I know a bit about this stuff). Happy cruising!

 side of the ship "naked".

Seems like I recall it's Deck 3, Aft, Starboard, just in front of Tuscan.  I think there are cabins on the other side of the nakedness.  An excellent illusion.  I'll let you know for sure in 17 days.

Our NCL Joy cruise was just canceled earlier tonight for Jan 22nd so I went ahead and booked the Apex for same time period. Will be first time on Celebrity and went with Retreat suite. Looking forward to going back and reading your posts! I’m sure I’ll have some questions shortly. Thanks!

I would like to pause and ask the your thoughts on attire at the casino.  I don’t dress well but I still would put on shorts and a shirt to go to the casino.  I would not sit and play in my robe on the APEX.  I don’t think people would like to be accidentally flashed 😂

Greetings

We are always amazed that every time we cruise we will see at least 1 person at breakfast in their cruise bathrobe.  This isn't just on Celebrity, we have witnessed the same on HAL, NCL, Princess, MSC, and even on Azamara, Oceania, and Viking.  We always wonder just what these people are thinking.

Good Sailing

Tom

PS Maybe the best "live" review ever.
