Also I disagree with the quality of the entertainment. The two comedians were very good as was Celli and the violinist. The singers were poor ( screaming) and obviously last minute emergency replacements. I missed the production shows. This doesn’t mean that I didn’t love the cruise just that I spent more time in the casino. Also the area used for game shows was too small without enough seating. Staff was wonderful.

We were impressed by Singers; Karen Grainger, Todd Murray, and Uptown as well as the comedians, the magician, Jacob Tresuk and Celli.  Some of the other vocalists just wailed and had no real range or songs you could relate too.  When that happened, the live band was just excellent to watch…

Thanks for all the updates!  I hope someone who is onboard starting today will take over the updates as we are supposed to board January 30.

We are also on the January 30 sailing.  I am following the roll call of today's cruise departure of the Equinox and "JamieLogical" is on board, and I am pretty sure we will see lots of great updates from her.  I hope so!

Left the ship today after a very good 12 days.  Spoke with guest relations concerning number of passengers and crew on board, 1218 passengers and 1044 crew.  Very nice experience with so few passengers.  The cruise director explained why there were not any production shows, 6 dancers were in quarantine due to close contact with someone who had Covid.

Hope it’s like that when we’re there January 30.  Sounds fabulous!

My husband and I are onboard, but only have the surf wifi, so not sure how much I will be able to post. I am taking daily notes and will post as I can. Yesterday was super smooth. Departed on time, despite the slight delay in boarding. So far, everything is awesome! Stopped in Bimini right now. Vaccinated passengers are allowed to explore on their own.

Don’t miss Our Lady Valentine. They did another set in the grand foyer and the place went wild. People were hanging off the balcony three floors up.

I am boarding celebrity silhouette on Monday the 24th and I’ve looked at our entertainment on the app and apparently Our Lady Valentine  are going to be playing on silhouette also I’m so excited to hear them!

I know several of us who are on the January 30 sailing are hoping you will be able to post updates, following your current roll call for your January 21 sailing,  assuming you will, if able, be posting there.  ENJOY!

Our Blu maitre d’ told us around 1100 guests and that 75 of the 130 Aqua Class cabins are booked. A knowledgeable guest on the January 9th and January 21st B2B cruises told us 1019 passengers onboard for this cruise.

Boarding was smooth for us yesterday too. In fact, we were literally the first two new guests to board after the B2B guests reboarded as we had priority boarding.

Today was Bimini, and we were very pleasantly surprised. We went out independently and were able to walk at least 4 miles from the port to kayak rental place, a convenience store, restaurant, down to Resort World Casino, to Hilton Hotel and Marina, around many beach homes, and to Beach 360. And then back to the cruise ship. We had to take a hard or digital copy of vaccination card ashore with us but no one checked the copies. We were supposed to wear masks indoors and outdoors but when we saw most locals and visitors including cruise ship guests not wearing masks outdoors, we took them off until we got back to the secure port area.

We could only go out independently in Bimini if vaccinated. There is plenty to do with beaches, a few restaurants,  golf carts you can rent, kayaks you can rent, or just walking around like we did. No real shopping which will disappoint some.

There was another cruise ship anchored at sea near the end of Bimini. No one from that ship appeared to be tendering to shore, so it was a bit perplexing. Then we started hearing credible rumors, the ship was the Crystal Symphony with guests onboard. Apparently guests could not get off, but we heard they will be boarding a ferry to take them back to Florida. The Crystal Symphony will not be able to return to Florida.

Next two days are sea days as we head to the ABCS.

How is the seating in Blu?

Have they made more space between the two tops that, in the past were so close you were almost sharing tables?
