Global Entry Long Beach

I just renewed my Global Entry for another five years and have the new card in my wallet. When I arrive into Long Beach do I just show the Customs Agent my Global Entry Card or do we go through the Biometric screener?  Also can this card be used instead of my Passport? I mean I don't mind carrying my Passport as they say you never know if you need it to fly home in an emergency.

Thanks

As far as I know the global entry program only operates at airports, not cruise terminals.

Also, Carnival's website has a page outlining required travel documents and I don't seem to recall a global entry card being mentioned as an acceptable form of ID - mainly just drivers license plus birth certificate, passport, or an enhanced driver's license (if your state has that).

Long Beach is a biometric screener.. just show your pretty face.  When you online check-in there's a spot to put on your known traveler number.. but yes I'd bring passport.  Just show it at terminal check-in and put it in a safe place.
