milolii Posted January 17, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2022 FYI. I went to look at flights but not available yet. Airports are Ontario (Los Angeles area), Stewart airport in New York State, and Fort Lauderdale. These are some of the same airports Norwegian Air used. It appears some of the Norwegian Air leadership has joined Norse Atlantic Air. It seems the airline still needs to hire, too. https://thepointsguy.com/news/norse-atlantic-dot-approval/?utm_source=TPG Daily Newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=3541051&utm_usr=81cc9bffe6c704f2367ed1b07a0d8bc32631a3940c449feb8a05853247c60af0&utm_msg=38e855a00d3e4945a6fe4016e57194c8&utm_date=2022-01-

hallasm Posted January 18, 2022 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2022 (edited) Yes, but in 2022 very limited network. Fly Norse will operate from Oslo to Ontario Intl. Airport, New York (Stewart Intl. Airport) and Fort Lauderdale Intl. Airport. Later probably also Los Angeles In addition to Oslo in Europe also from to London (probably Stansted , maybe Gatwick) and Paris. Currently no connections to other airline networks. The first flights are expected to take off early second quarter of 2022. The company expects that 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliners will be in the air by summer 2022. Time will show Edited January 18, 2022 by hallasm
milolii Posted January 19, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted January 19, 2022 No doubt it will be a slow start. Ontario International Airport is in the greater Los Angeles area. Of course, this is a large area. My understanding is this is the airport Norse Atlantic Airways plans to use in Southern California for now. Gate fees at LAX are much higher. Not to mention all the other headaches. We tend to appreciate the smaller airports.
