Oceania transferring passengers from Sirena to Marina

My first Oceania and we have been moved to another ship which everyone posting about that has said it’s a good deal!  We got the email notice on 1/10/22 and the new booking number 1/16.

I agree and am excited - we board Feb 11.

However my new booking number is still not in the system.  I also tried on several occasions to manually enter with no success.

So I called customer service and waited about 20 minutes to ask when it would be on My Account so I can check in and reserve dining, etc.

She informed me they are aware of the issue and are working to resolve.  She advised to keep checking the website until it is there.

They have a process they are following and it is a bit slow.  We have our new Marina Booking numbers but nothing is appearing on our accounts yet for the March 5-17, Miami to Miami cruise. I talked to my Rep today and we may see them Friday or next week. Since it is a March sailing it isn’t a big deal. Booking Specialty reservations or La Reserve and such will come next.
Sirena had less than 300 booked so who knows what the passenger count is for Marina if there was a lot of cancellations made after the ship change announcement.

I created a Roll Call for this March 5 cruise so feel free to jump on board.

Gardenbunny is asking when the February 11th cruise that was moved from Sirena to Marina will appear in our booked cruises account. I am on that cruise and received a new invoice and stateroom number last week.  However, it does not appear in my account.  I tried adding it as a new booked cruise.  It then says that it has been successfully added, but it still does not show up.  So the question is:  When will the new Marina booked cruise appear in our accounts?

We have been told they are still hand processing all the Sirena bookings to Marina and it is taking “some” time. Whether it is a few days or 10, it really may not matter, we are all on Marina. Your TA should be able to tell you what room you have been assigned. We will be doing our On-Line check in a month and be sailing on March 5.

Those of you sailing in early February, ENJOY. We don’t know what Covid will bring but we can sure make the best of the hand dealt to us.  When we were on Riviera in October and November, all the amenities were open and available and the Casino was open as well.  Let’s just hope we get to experience all that that Marina has to offer because it will be a wonderful cruise.
Ciao,

We are on the Feb 1st route and new booking numbers etc. are slowly showing up for friends onboard. I think a lot also depends on your travel agent. We all know some agents are better, and better connected, than others.

The cabins are in approximately the same areas.

Upgrades for most categories were available.

All passengers in inside and ocean view cabins have been moved to veranda cabins.

All specialty restaurant reservations previously booked were cancelled. We were able to book our allotment with our new booking number.

I am also glad to be back on the Marina.

Thank you for this information. I was wondering how they handled the cabin reassignments, since there is a significant difference in the deck plans between the two ships. Sounds like Oceania did what they could to make it at least a comparable, if not better, cabin assignment.

Making progress - My TA called today and our cabin is 7087.

However, Oceania person told my TA they are having issues causing delays in adding booking to the My Account.  Said it could be available for check in and reservations Friday  but should be open Monday.

Been watching all the 360 videos - stunningly beautiful ship.

Need to read about all the dining options - so many …..

This is going to be fun experiencing on board amenities regardless of where ship goes. LOL

Now fingers crossed all the testing goes well.

  • 2 weeks later...

We just got back from the 10 day Panama Canal Potpourri that was originally on Sirena and moved to Marina. Best trip ever! We were able to go on all of our excursions. There were 269 passengers on the ship (that typically holds over 1200). It was just the best time! Everyone was spread out, and had a verandah cabin. There was plenty of room in all of the specialty restaurants, and the Grand Dining Room was virtually empty when we ate dinner there. We felt a bit sorry for the crew and staff, they didn't have enough to do! Please be patient with Oceania - it all came together in the end!

That is awesome.  Thanks so much for sharing.  Early on I heard ours might have 300.  Was there still any entertainment?

Did you have to do testing for your ports?

We are a different itinerary on Feb 11 with several ports requiring passengers be tested within 48 hrs of visit.

But with so few passengers, testing should go quickly.
