No date yet though. We leave next week. Maybe later today it will be announced and official?

Expectation is signed off by cabinet later today for implementation this Thursday (27th).  Put it this way the Prime Minister for various reasons wants to announce and implement lots of good news stories as quick as he can this week.

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps has just announced that from 04:00 on 11 February "eligible fully vaccinated travellers" arriving in the UK will no longer have to take a post arrival lateral flow test.

Any progress towards "normal" is most appreciated.

Good news for you, Jim. In England, from tommorow, masks are no longer a legal requirement.

(Individual premises can ask for them to be worn as a condition of entry)

Visitors need to remember that masks will be required on most modes of transport and for those on the current voyages that stop in Scotland, the mask mandate remains in place as a legal requirement

This is true, we don't have public transport anywhere near us, so didn't pay attention to that bit.

The Scottish mask situation is hardly noticeable after all the general chaos!
