Covid test on day of departure

Has anyone had success getting a Covid sample taken on the ship the morning of departure and having the pdf results emailed to you later in the day?  We are not leaving on disembarkation day but the morning after. With the US entry requirements saying the test must be taken 1 day prior we would need a test taken before leaving the ship. I thought I read about someone on the Iceland trip having a test on the last morning but I’m not sure.

How exactly does the proctoring of self-administered testing work? Thanks in advance.

We were chosen at random on our return to Canada to take a Switch Health test. When we arrived home, we went to their website, booked an online appointment with a nurse, and she watched as we performed the test. We kept in in the fridge overnight. Placed it on the front porch in the morning and it was picked up by Purolator before noon.

We just found another test when we had to get retested before getting onto our flight from Santiago.  We asked at the hotel we had reservations at, went to the location described, got tested and within 3 hours the results popped in on email.

Under the Section for Viking Health and Safety Program it states,

"Also, as a complimentary service at the end of your itinerary, Viking will provide you with the PCR test result needed for your return flight home."

You connect with a cell phone or tablet.  Within a minute or so, you get a tech on the other side.  You use the phone/tablet to show him/her the test you're about to open (along with your passport and a view of you), and then they watch you proceed to swab yourself and insert the sample into the test card.  Then they "hang up", and about 15 minutes later, you reconnect with another tech who looks at the sample card, and (hopefully) determines it's a negative.  Minutes later, an email and/or on-line link shows up with results, which at the very least, United Airlines accepted as good for US re-entry. Whole process takes less than an hour - but you will need to have reasonable connectivity, as in a hotel or such.  I'd be worried about on-ship WiFi to get this done...
