Hello all.

How bad are the cabins above the casino or below lido under the pool?

This would be on the conquest class of ships so a little older.

I always try to stick between 2 cabin decks but not a optioin this time.,

Thank you

Kim

Lido could be a problem with chairs moving as some of the line dances you may hear thumping.

I usually avoid any cabins near the casino as for the smoke smells. Good Luck 🙂

We were under Lido a few years back on the Conquest - never again!  Booked a guaranteed cabin - have never done that again either.  Chairs moving ALL the time as well as noise from the line dances above our cabin.  Good luck!

I was under lido once. I thought I was going to be under guy's burgers but it was more like by the pool. Every morning around 7am it sounded like I was under the gym and someone was dropping weights. I assume it was deck chairs. I do like being forward one deck below lido. Where you're really under the forward rooms and it's just one flight of stairs to the lido deck...but not under the pool deck area itself. With your two options I would give above the casino a shot.

We have done both, no problems. I even travelled with little kids below lido. not an issue with keeping them awake or waking them up. I think the smoke could be an issue I could see, but we have been above and below Casino without that being an issue too. One of my favorite locations is right above the casino by those central stairs that come down the back side of the casino.  Like anything, take it with a grain of salt, but I generally think you will get more "negative" responses than positive on pretty much any question on here.

We just stayed above dead center of the casino 3 weeks ago on the Dream.  While you could hear occasional cheers and even slot machine sounds, it was very minor and definitely not loud enough to prevent falling asleep.  Being center of the casino, we never heard music from Ocean Plaza or the Atrium in our room, which I would think would be more of a nuisance if you were closer to casino edges where it meets those venues.

On the Conquest my cabin was directly above the casino bandstand.  I heard loud music until the wee hours of the morning.  It sounded like the band was playing right outside our door.  Turns out the speakers were mounted on the ceiling of the casino, right under the floor of my cabin.  Never again.  Guest Services ended up refunding 25% of my cruise fare for the inconvenience, but I would rather have had a quiet room than the 25%.  Be careful!

We did deck 6 cabins on Conquest-class ships twice, once above the casino and once near the forward stairs. Never again - noise both times. Conversely, we've had deck 8 Lido cabins a number of times and had no problem with noise.

Our worst cabin experience was below the lido.  I carefully looked at each option left and decided on an area below the deli (it's not open especially early or late so I figured it couldn't be that noisy).  What I had not considered is that they constantly push the plate carts back and forth.  Not only do they rattle loudly on the tile floor, but we were apparently right under a door transition because we'd hear a loud bump every time one went by.

Above the casino doesn't bother me (I actually really like that location) but I will never pick a room under the lido again.

On Sunshine,  we stayed directly over the casino. There was constantly a faint smell of cigarettes and occasionally you could hear the music playing. Lesson learned there, but in general I'll never do Sunshine again as it was easily the most well worn out room/ship I've been on
