Country Inn Newark Airport

We have 5 rooms at Country Inn in July. We are all coming in at different times. Are there places to walk to during the day? Different sites including Google Maps have the outlet mall close enough to walk but some sites stated it is not walkable. We want to be close enough to get back to the hotel as each couple comes in.

You can walk from your hotel to Jersey Gardens Mall. Depart your hotel,  go right onto International Boulevard  which will lead you, at the traffic light, to one of the mall's parking lots.

I made  mistake, go left, not right, onto International Blvd to the mall parking lot.

It's walkable (just be careful, cross at the light!)  If it's really hot, it'll suck but it isn't far.  You're crossing the street and walking across the rather large parking lot.  Keep in mind though that it's an outlet mall so if you've forgotten something, or want to buy wine or whatever, that isn't the place. (Though sometimes the Bed, Bath & Beyond has some trial size stuff like toothpaste).

 

I'd suggest eating at the mall or ordering in.  The Ruby Tuesday is mediocre at best and also serves as a 'ghost kitchen' for several little pop up restaurants (at least it did a couple months ago.)  The iHop that's adjacent is also pretty bad but it's hit or miss.  They can't seem to get orders correct or an entire party of 3 served at the same time.

megr1125 Thank you for the advice. I tried to find a hotel that had airport shuttle and things to do while we wait for everyone. It looked like the best option.
