We were able to do that as well at the bar we frequently visited. We were also able to get more than 1 bottle of water at a time. Of course that bartender saw my husband and I several times a day for water, soft drinks, and Dirty Bananas and she got to know us.

I had no problem getting a bottle of water and a can of beer (unopened) to take back to my room after leaving the casino on the Majestic. Nearly every night.

As far as I could tell, they were rung up together as one transaction.

I must have run across the bartenders following the rules on the Majestic last August and in the casino where I was "comped" beverages during events I attended in past years.  I just looked and this is still stated in the beverage package T&C - maybe they are a bit more relaxed about it now?

Yeah I know thats the rule. I suspect the bartenders have a little leeway. Ours, when we would stop by for water, started asking "how many would you like" or would ask my husband when he stopped by for a drink "does your wife want a water or soda as well".  While I understand the logic of one at a time, her way was surely more efficient, and we were not taking advantage of the drink package as we both paid for it. Needless to say we tipped her nicely at the end of the cruise.   Also we never did this with alcohol, only water and soft drinks which dont count against the 15.
