Verandah hammock…is this DIY or available on board?

Seen on a ship parked across from us in Cozumel. Is this a DIY project or something that you can get on ships?

I have read a few accounts of these being removed and confiscated. The hammock owners were not pleased.

I get around it by hanging a hammock on the other side of the rail from the struts for the overhang above     It isn’t on the balcony but is rather tricky to get into and out of .  🙀🤪

 

The Mein Schiff cruise line has hammocks on the Balconies.  A few of their ships are former Celebrity ships

I like the standard height tables on the other ship. I wish Celebrity would bring these back. Having breakfast on a table at your knees is no fun!

My wife never had any issues with the hammock she hangs on the balcony, knock on wood.  While saying that, we always tip the room attendant when we meet them but never mention the hammock.

I found that hanging a hammock above the bed like a trapeze is more fun especially after both of us had a few  Martinis  🍸 It leads to all kinds of pleasure, fun,  and creativity.🥰

Out table is standard height on Silhouette.😊
