Scanning Passport to go onto Mobile Phone for Princess Ocean Ready

Please help needed to scan my passport so I can install onto Princess Ocean Ready app.

Surely you mean the Medallion app?

You key in the details manually without taking a photograph of the passport.

I struggled to get our passports to scan. Finally I took color photos of the passports so they would lay flat. Then the scan worked. Good luck!

Mine took and my husband's didn't. It is way easier to do it manually without scanning it.

We had a difficult time with this also. Took many repeated tries.

2 cruises in January 3 people in our group, never got the passports to scan but entering them manually is sufficient

The term "scanning" is totally inappropriate here...even though that is what the app says.  What it really wants is a good photo (image).  Make sure you get all of the main passport page...make sure it is absolutely flat.  When I finally got mine to "take" it flashed a green bar across the OCR section at the very bottom.  Snap that button quick if/when you see that!

An FYI as we just renewed our passport (USA.)

 

The passport book contains  a rigid plastic insert which makes scanning much easier! We had no isues scanning it. 

 

Not sure when the passport was updated but I really think it's a nice improvement; we ordered passport  renewals November 2021. Received yesterday- Feb 1, 2022.

Where can you manually put in your passport info?  I would gladly do that if I knew where.  LOL

There is a link you can click to enter manually in the same place in the app where they want you to scan it. That's what I ended up doing. Scanning didn't work for me.
