elmojessi Posted February 6, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2022 We’re schedule for Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios in March. Sounds like GC is for sure not going to happen, but I’m not certain about Jamaica. If these ports won’t happen, when will Carnival update the itinerary? I’d love to start planning for the replacement ports…
Moviela Posted February 6, 2022 #2 Share Posted February 6, 2022 I have had port changes occur the day before while aboard due to weather or port congestion. Don't stress, just remember people's plans make God laugh.
nlktx49 Posted February 6, 2022 #3 Share Posted February 6, 2022 Our cruise January 8 had the Cayman, Ocho Rios, Cozumel itinerary. We knew Cayman was out, but it wasn't until about 2 weeks before the cruise date that we got email from Carnival with the new one - Isla Roatan, Belize, Cozumel. Carnival probably waits until the last minute to announce changes, hoping Cayman will change its policy, plus it takes time to juggle all the schedules. Have several cruises coming up with Key West as a stop. As of now that's not happening, so once again just wait and see what happens.
cmp03 Posted February 6, 2022 #4 Share Posted February 6, 2022 The 1/31 sailing of Horizon was updated about 9 days before from western to eastern Caribbean. But then the excursions took a few more days to show up and then only a few were loaded. It wasn't till you actually got a ship and then all the excursions were available to be booked. vwrestler171 Posted February 7, 2022 #6 Share Posted February 7, 2022 More than likely, not until a week or 2 before sailing.
yogibear Posted February 7, 2022 #7 Share Posted February 7, 2022 We were on the Pride in 2019 supposedly bound for Bermuda. On 1st Sea Day out, Bermuda turned into Grand Turk and Amber Cove. So, it may not happen til you're on board. Karen
highcorral25 Posted February 7, 2022 #8 Share Posted February 7, 2022 I am on the Vista for a 2/19 sailing to Ocho Rios, GC, and Cozumel. No word yet on port changes. I don't mind if Carnival changes GC. But I really want to go to Ocho Rios for the Dunn's River Falls excursion.

Im ok going to belize and mahogany bay since I haven’t done those two ports but I wish they would make the change. I get its complicated reshuffling the schedule but it seems other cruise lines did their schedule reshuffle further out. Not a big deal I guess in the end given the price I paid (Casino offer) I’m ok with wherever. It beats going to work! Hopefully this week they will update since i think next weekend a ship from Miami has a cruise to GC on its itinerary.

This will be our first time on a Vista class ship. I have been to Mahogany Bay a few times and would gladly go back there. I've been to Belize three times and would rather take a pass. But either way... it is good to be cruising.
TxShenanigans Posted February 9, 2022 #11 Share Posted February 9, 2022 Just in case people didnt see the email regarding changes.
