Where are all the "regular folks"?
cellfree replied to Momto3girlsintheCarolinas's topic in MSC Cruises
Have a wonderful cruise. We have been “regular” folks for 12+ MSC cruises, every ship that has ever sailed out of a US Port a few times over, and never knew there was a Yacht Club!” -

I suppose this is one way I can look at it, I’m not gaining any weight as I “enjoy” the food. -

Our Carnival Vista B2B - Havana Style - (with pics!) - 4/14/24
cellfree replied to Jamman54's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
We booked Venezia in May 2023, after reading the @Jamman54review and admiring Patti’s pictures, for February 2025. At the time didn’t realize 2025 was so far away, is it 2025 yet? Well we have had and do have cruises in the meantime, but what was I thinking? All this to say, you two have quite an influence on us. Appreciate you sharing your time and talent. -

Will a Celebrity Cruiser be Disappointed sailing on MSC?
cellfree replied to cheeseheads4ever's topic in MSC Cruises
Did our first Yacht Club Interior a month ago, after 12+ MSC cruises and 25+ Carnival cruises and a sprinkling of other Lines. Loved it. A week after home booked another as I found an available Interior on husband’s birthday, good reason, right? Enjoy! -

I think the “leather trinkets and steak dinners” you speak of are when you hit Diamond. -

Ooo la la, the Havana Bar is beautiful, we did Inaugural TA on Horizon in 2018, not Havana Cabin but anyone can enjoy the “bar,” we will soon hear what @Saint Gregthinks about it. -

Booked first MSC cruise - Interior YC on Seaside
cellfree replied to rodndonna's topic in MSC Cruises
I did want to add a further comment about storage in YC Interiors. I had read so much about these cabins prior to cruising on the Seashore and there were many comments on shortage of storage. So I was really very pleasantly surprised at the amount of storage, drawers and closet space, on the Seashore. All this to say, it is quite likely that YC Interior Cabin storage varies from class to class on the ships. -

Booked first MSC cruise - Interior YC on Seaside
cellfree replied to rodndonna's topic in MSC Cruises
We had our first Yacht Club experience in an Interior Cabin on Seashore (after 12+ MSC sailings) a couple weeks ago, loved it, was very surprised at how spacious cabin was and the amount of storage, lots of drawers, and enough closet space, and then there’s the whole Yacht Club thing. Enjoyed it so much booked Seascape shortly after getting home for husband’s bday in November when I saw a couple Yacht Club Interiors still sitting there. Be forewarned, it’s addictive. -

I love the old benches with the engraved ship name, always took a pic, not on newer ships, just a “plain old bench!” -
Perhaps some day our paths will cross. (I just read another post where you referenced your NYC subways, for some reason I thought you were from Europe.) Next bookings are Carnival in September and MSC November.
