i have received the option to upgrade our upcoming cruise. Can I only choose one category to submit a bid on or can I submit bids on multiple categories? First time cruiser with NCL.  Thanks in advance

Pick as many as you like. Just keep a eye on current prices to upgrade without bidding so you don't over bid!

You can bid on all the categories/selections offered -

However it is recommended to only bid on those you would really really like to win.

If you bid and the win is for a medium sort of cabin -

all the rest of your bids are cancelled -

So no Deluxe Suite for you -

NCL will not return you to the bidding program to advance to the next higher category -

A one shot - one time - deal - time limited - completed normally 48 hours before sailing

NCL may offer you a category upgrade -

This is different from the bidding for multiple categories

In this case take it or leave it - no winning bid here

Usually the offering of bids is for Past Guests -

But with this recent virus crap filling the high-end and cabins above the Inside Ocean View

level is in the works with the inside cabins on lower decks used as quarantine space if

necessary

You of course can always call NCL and broker your own deal -

If booked thru a TA or big box retailer you will have to work deals thru them - not the best deal !

Oh and Good Luck !

Agree 100%.

We originally booked a balcony in a location that was great for us. When we received the upgrade email, we decided that a bid on anything below the Haven would be a "wasted" bid for us. Even within the Haven, we only bid on the subset of categories that were located within the Haven complex. We didn't want the long walk from the Haven rooms that were all the way forward and aft.

Please keep in mind that there's no guarantee that you will any of your bids.
