Explorer pool towels

We are shortly to board Explorer for our first Marella cruise. Can anyone tell me if the ship provides pool towels or do we have to bring our own. If they do provide them are they delivered to your cabin or do you pick them up yourself say by the pool. Any info would be appreciated.

Yes they do provide pool towels.

I am not a pool user but I am sure I remember seeing a couple of blue pool towels in my cabin with a note that a charge will be made to your account if they are not returned to your cabin at the end of the cruise.

Thanks. Do you know if these are refreshed each day or are you expected to use the same ones for the whole cruise??

If you leave them on the bathroom floor they will be replaced.

It’s a good idea to take pegs with you to fasten the towels to the loungers.Stops the towels falling or blowing if there is a breeze. I always take a couple of sets.

Thanks. We always take pegs! On P&O you can get 2 extra towels from the cabin steward. Does this also apply on Marella? I am just trying to save room in cases for clothes instead of towels!

You will find that all the staff on Marella are very accommodating and in most cases will help you out with all your requirements. 👌

No need to pack towels on any cruise i have taken, on any line.

Last month on Explorer the dark blue pool towels were on a shelf in our cabin on arrival and changed after we had used them.  I forgot my large pegs I usually take but actually only sat on deck once as the weather was not nice for the second half of our cruise.
