Ideas for OBC?

We have $3000 to use up.

Thinking drink package for sure.

Not really looking at excursions as we have plans that involve hiring locals.

Can we direct this towards the daily tipping?  How much is this again?

I understand we can use it for specialty dining fees.

What are some other fun ideas to use up credit?

ok so I just called Carnival.  1 hour 3 min wait....

Can't use OBC ahead of cruise for cruises before April 15.

It's use it by end end of cruise or lose it.

Looks like kiddies are cruising in luxury.

And it's not showing up on my account b/c I'm booked through a travel agent. ugh.

any way you can use towards a future cruise?

Actually yes, at least some categories of OBC are refundable as a future cruise credit if you haven't spent them by the end of the cruise.

aw good to know.  I suggest you start planning and have something ready to book.

BTW see if one of the shore excursions might also be interesting too.

Go into casino, select "charge my sail and sign account" to download funds to the machine, play through the OBC, cash out the winnings / balance at the end.

Yes, USD.

Note that they won't let you just add it and cash out... you'll have to play some of it... But 100% of the winnings would be cash-outable.

It was a while ago and I did hear it was hit or miss, but some were saying you could go to the candy store and purchase "Carnival" gift cards with your OBC.

I do wish I had your problem...lol...in your shoes I'd just live like a rock star as much as possible...lets the kids go crazy in the arcade, build a bear, room service etc...and at the end I'd purchase a piece of jewelry with whatever is left on the balance...yes probably an overpriced piece of jewelry but better than nothing if you'd be losing it anyway.

people still smoke?

I'll assume you haven't been to the American South in a while LOL

Growing up in SoCAL and then going back East or to the South, I used to say the same thing "Mom someone is smoking INSIDE this restaurant!!!!"....

It's only a small portion of your OBC, but I would remove prepaid gratuities.  They will add them on the last full day of the cruise. The pictures are pricey, but it's a good time for family portraits if everyone is dressed nice for dinner.  Then all the usual suspects: alcohol, shopping and specialty dining.

here in my area (Ontario Canada), we go months without seeing a cigarette.  My kids have almost never seen anyone smoke one.  People vape but it's much more subtle.

Don't want to be rude but how in the world did you get $3000 obc?  I would struggle, hard, to spend that much.  I know it's possible but seems like more of a burden to try to.  I'd do the drink package, specialty dining options, get a bunch of pictures, donate a bunch to St. Jude and do what some others have said.  Buy something nice from the shops, buy a camera (or 2).  You can always sell the camera for probably close to retail price when you are home, anyways.

Specialty dining every night

Normal Tips/Extra Tips

Booze from duty free shop

Fun Shops

Casino fun - if you have a lot left on last few nights, play craps and bet max on the pass line, then max on each of these numbers:  6/8/9/all hardways/all numbers around the horn (2/3/11/12), heck even put the max on the field for a whirlwind craps round! 🙂

Have fun spending!
