Madrid Pre-Stay in October 2022. What hotel does Viking use?

Viking hotels are usually very good. However, you can stay at other hotels.  If you bought Viking Air, you may asked to pay a small deviation fee.  On one trip, we wanted to book an extension.  Extension hotel was sold out.  Viking told us that we could book our own hotel.  Paying the deviation fee and booking our own hotel room was excellent.  We used hotel points and stayed in a better hotel in a more convenient location.

We did the Madrid extension a couple of years ago.  We were boarding in Barcelona.  We stayed at the Intercontinental.  The room wasn’t wonderful, but then most European city hotels rooms are smallish, but the breakfast was excellent as was the city tour.  We were also taken by train to Barcelona.  We felt the extension was very good value and we enjoyed the restaurants etc.  that the Viking representative recommended.
