I have 1921 points currently. Still "Choice". I need 579 more points for Prime as per Club Royale. I'm confused with some of the comments that Prime level is reduced to 1500 points. Not what I've been told.....

The casino calendar year runs from April 1st thru March 31st.    What you earn up thru March 31st will be applied towards your Club Royale membership starting April 1st.

Here is a letter someone else posted from Club Royale

Am I understanding the status letter correctly?  It seems we get to maintain our current status through 3/31/2023 and the points needed to reach each status have been reduced.

The point levels were reduced through 3/31/2022 not the following CR year.  In order to qualify for the 4/1/2023 CR year you will need to earn the normal point levels from 4/1/2022 to 3/31/2023 (example 2500 for prime)

Yes,  If you reach prime while on your sailing this March the casino host will place a Prime sticker on your seapass and then you are immediately able to get free cocktails and free bottled waters from the casino bar when the casino is open.

When you board the ship and go to your cabin you or your wife may find a letter from the casino with a cruise offer based on points played on your last cruise.

I check on a weekly basis the clubroyaleoffers website for new offers.

Somewhere around middle or end of april the website will show your free annual cruise as available.   It will be for an interior cabin for any cruise anywhere in the world for up to 7 nights.     The cost to upgrade from int to balcony is usually cheaper than what you see you royal's website.

You will also be eligible for the casino rate for any non-casino cruise.    This is usually cheaper than the pricing shown on royal's website.    You want to make sure you are calling the club royale phone number when booking.  It is published on the clubroyaleoffers website.

For those that are currently Not prime members the points they need to earn by 3/31/22 is now 1500 instead of 2500.

If you already are prime then your prime status will remain in place until 3/31/2023.

At least that is how I understood it.

And I guess they will revert back to original policy where everyone will need to earn 2500 points from 4/01/22 to 3/31/2023 for prime year starting 4/01/23.

Thank you.  If we are reading this correctly this is good news.   I hadn't heard (other than rumors) of status carrying over to 2023 before today.

So based on the 1500 points for Prime, That's 7500.00 ran through the machine. If the hold in the ship's casino is 10%, (90% payout) That's 972 pulls on average for a 100.00 bankroll at $1.00 per pull. So in order to get to Prime, You will need to have a bank roll of approximately $771.00. That's the math based on a 10% hold. If you play about 600 spins per hour, That's 12.5 hours in the casino, which is very easily achieved on a 7 day cruise. A little less than 2 hours a night, playing about $110.00 a night.

Now if the hold is higher, the bankroll goes up, and the time to get the 1500 points gets extended.

In general, you are "paying" for your free cruise guaranteed by Prime, but it seems like other offers come often. So, it's really not a bad deal, especially if you live near a cruise port.

SUNSHINE, all good info for everyone.  We are using last years annual cruise on Anthem in March. Can you refresh my memory of the time frame that the free cruise certificate have to be used for the yearly benefit?  They usually open up bookings in mid/late April and when is the deadline to book and deadline to have the cruise completed.  Does the cruise need to be completed before the next cycle April 1st 2023?

Its 800 points for a free inside room right now.  Make sure you convert your points to play and use them up before the cruise is over.  It does not affect your reward.  The cruises they offered us were near term up to June for a feb 06 cruise.  Its sort of a good deal.  you will lose about $1 for every point you earn.  The casinos do not pay like a land based casino.  Assuming you lose $800 and get a free 7 day cruise with $300 in taxes, its not bad.  But yes, you are MOL buying a cruise.  But we like to gamble so theres that.  Here is what they had Oasis Feb 6 7 day.

The annual cruise must have a sail date no later than 3.31 for casino year.  You can book in april or you can book it days before it sails.

We will be sailing on Anthem for a b2b for March 20th and March 27th.  When are you sailing Anthem?

So she is at 1100 pts from one cruise in Feb 22.  We already booked a march cruise with that award.  So are you saying that if she earns another 400 pts she will get another free cruise plus the annual????  thats insane!!!!!!  I thought you have to make a free cruise on one sailing, so 800 pts on a sailing.  If you get 800 pts on a sailing, can you just keep going for free all the time??????

As you are already are booked using their current special for your March sailing, if she earns another 400 points on the march sailing she will become a prime member for the casino year of April 1, 2022 thru March 31, 2023.    You will then receive a free annual tier cruise to be used anytime anywhere during that year for an interior cabin for any cruise up to 7 nights

Plus receive other casino offers for free or discounted cruises throughout the year.

Here is the link to the website where you would offers by entering her crown and anchor number as the rewards number:

If she earns another 800+ points on the March sailing she should receive another free cruise offer to be used before June 2022.

If she becomes prime on your March sailing make sure you visit the casino host desk and ask for a Prime sticker to be placed onto her sea pass as that will entitle her to free cocktails and free bottled water from the casino bar when casino is open.

Both my husband and I are prime members and we sometimes receive slightly different offers as it is based on your casino play - he has more points than I do so sometimes we get different offers.     Here is an example of an offer I recently received being a prime member.     When they upload offers to the club royale offer website to the far right will include the itineraries you may select from:

IF you happen to remember and have wifi on your cruise could you let me know how many passengers on your sailing.    We sailed in jan and only had 1623 passengers and it was wonderful.   I haven't heard any recent numbers but it expect it is going up.

Good Luck in the Casino🤩 and Hope you have a wonderful sailing!

Thanks, your the best.  We had supposedly 2800 on the oasis Feb 06.  Less then half full.  Looks like my mar 05 is about the same.  I was told they are booking 60% right now and feeling it out.

I will definitely get the numbers for you.  We had similar numbers for our recent 8 day Odyssey trip.  People really have no idea what they are missing.  When we all look back in 20 years at this time of sailing those of us that where fortunate to "go for it" will have some great stories to tell.  I am so glad we decided to travel on our terms and not be scared away by the fearmongers.

I also respect those who did not travel during these trying times.  We are all humans wired in different ways.  They will be happy they didnt travel during these times for their own reasons.
