I got this offer as well for my August 2022 Encore Alaska sailing.

Question, if I purchase this now and need to cancel (unforseen circumstances) before final payment, will this be refunded as well? Does it apply if I purchase other upgrades as well?

Thanks!

In my experience, yes. We have cancelled add-ons in the past and received refunds. This was true even when we booked the cruise itself using FCC.

We have this offer for our sailing next week.  I wonder if we could just upgrade 1 of us so we would have a total of 3 specialty dining meals each instead of 4 (2 for free at sea plus the 2 upgrade).

I don't have access to the Terms & Conditions anymore since I paid for the upgrade, but take a look there. I'm pretty sure they mention that the additional meals must be used by the guest who purchased them, but I'm not 100% sure.

It wouldn't be 3 and 3, it would be 4 and 2.

Thanks! I'll book this just in case it disappears 😁

Platinum cruisers get cagneys and Brazilian steakhouse free so that plus the 2 has been more than enough for us.

Or alternative restaurants on the newer 3 ships On Norwegian Encore, Moderno or La Cucina is replaced by Los Lobos or Q.

I haven't seen anyone else mention this thought.

Perhaps the Upgrade Free At Sea Dining Offer is available to those who have booked their cruise after a certain date this year.

I suggest this as a possibility, since we currently have three bookings with different booking dates

(2 were made in 2021, and 1 was made after January 15, 2022).

Could be. Do you see the offer to upgrade for the one you booked this year and not see it for the two you booked last year?

The only other thing I could come up with is that they're tracking browsing history/page visits. I have looked at the dining packages numerous times and even had them in my cart a couple of times without pulling the trigger. Probably not the explanation, but stranger things have happened!

Platinum here as well.  I ate dinner in MDR during my first cruise in 2011 but not since 🙂  For the incremental cost, it's just one of those things I'd rather splurge for.  On my December Bliss cruise, the staff at Le Bistro and Ocean Blue were beyond any land-based servers I've had.

Yes!  That's what has me believing that I might be on the correct train-of-thought!

When did you book?  I seriously believe the booking date (this year, since the January cruise cancellations) is the key to "IF" it is on the booked reservation or not.

We originally booked on 6 April 2021, then applied a Latitudes Diamond free upgrade to move from a Balcony to a Club Balcony on 21 February 2022.  The cruise sails on 24 April 2022.

So... what is the BOOKING DATE on your NCL INVOICE?

Specifically the BOOKING date (that is showing under the "invoice date")!

Our Original Booking was 2021, my Diamond Upgrade request was January 2022...

We do NOT have the Dining Pkg Discount Offer for this cruise!!!

Hmm... My booking date is June 17, 2021. I'm not sure when that changed as my original booking was made in late 2019 (for an April 2020 sailing). In February of this year I changed dates (for about the 5th time) to this May. So my invoice date is February 8, 2022.

So, perhaps my theory probably is correct about "Booking Dates" vs "Invoice Dates" being a factor toward the Dining Upgrade discount offer.  I also believe that if NCL is "giving" us something on the newest invoice date, it "disqualifies" (term used loosely) us from the FaS Specialty Dining Pkg upgrade.
