Embassy suites- 6 people to cruise port?

There are 6 of us who will need to get to the cruise port from Embassy Suites on 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale. Does anyone have any recent information on the hotel shuttle? Price, reliability, etc? Are we better off getting a taxi or Uber- price for those? Thanks!

Give the Embassy Suites (that location, not the toll free country wide number) a call to get the most recent pricing and schedule information for the shuttle.  With 6 people a per person shuttle price will quickly add up.  Two taxis (van taxis cost the same as a sedan) or Ubers/Lyfts will very likely be much cheaper.  The closest entrance to the port is about a mile away.  Taxis, Uber and Lyft also have the added advantages of operating on your schedule and dropping you off directly at your ship.  Shuttles operate on a predetermined schedule and sometimes drop passengers off at multiple ships which is no problem if your ship is first, but can be annoying if you ship is last.
