Britpamtany1205 Posted March 13, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2022 DW and I tend to spend a lot of our time lounging/eating (room service) on our veranda on at sea days. Our last cruise was Dec 2019, just as pandemic was beginning. We usually book aqua or Concierge where chairs fully reclined w/ foot stools and a ‘usable’ table to eat on. We are ready to take the plunge again and are booked on an upcoming 12 day April cruise (retirement celebration) CC sunset veranda. What differences should we expect on veranda in regards to loungers/chairs and table. Wifey would be very upset if she can no longer stretch out and nap (listening to waves) as she used to. emmas gran Posted March 13, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2022 I think you will find the balcony furniture has changed, no loungers just chairs that recline and a small table someone reported no foot stools now
always_chasing Posted March 13, 2022 #3 Share Posted March 13, 2022 We were just on the Equinox in late February/early March. We were in Aqua class and had chairs with adjustable backs and foot rests, similar to what we had in that same cabin on our last Equinox sailing in 2016. The table had been replaced with something much smaller and shorter that was really not suitable for eating at. We were a little disappointed by the change because we like to order room service breakfast on port days and eat it on our veranda as we sail in. We had to eat at the couch/coffee table instead. Looking at the other verandas while docked, it appears that only suites still have the larger/taller table now.
eetonaee Posted March 13, 2022 #4 Share Posted March 13, 2022 We had a Concierge cabin on the February 20 Equinox sailing. The verandas and furniture were no different than those on regular veranda suites.
lhsail Posted March 13, 2022 #5 Share Posted March 13, 2022 We just got off the Equinox this morning. Had a Concierge class cabin on the angle. We had two chairs with footstools and a small table. We ordered full breakfast one morning. My husband moved the table from the cabin to the balcony.
Rare keesar Posted March 14, 2022 #6 Share Posted March 14, 2022 The new tables on the verandas are very small. It is not suitable for dining. Ok for a couple of drinks. You may have to ask for footstools from your stateroom attendant.
Luvcrusn Posted March 14, 2022 #7 Share Posted March 14, 2022 This was a balcony in Aqua class on Equinox in December 2021. Here's a pic of the balcony and furniture. The table was a bit small but we were able to make it work for breakfast. The chairs recline and with the footstools you could nap there if you wanted to.
Britpamtany1205 Posted March 14, 2022 Author #8 Share Posted March 14, 2022 Thanx everyone for your responses, small table is disappointing but more importantly if chairs fully recline with foot stools that will suffice
