Panorama elevator question

Your room must not be on a high deck in the forward area. On vista the forward elevators go to three different ranges of floors. So if I want to go to lido deck and I want my best chance Of getting an elevator, I have to hit three buttons. And if it hit three buttons that means two elevators are going to stop there for no reason. The smart elevators are much better.

To make a long story short, I cruised on the Vista September, 2017 right after Irma. They upgraded me from my usual "Captain Obvious" cabin (inside cheapest category) I got a suite mid ship level 7 with a tub and a whirlpool. So I hoofed it alot. Originally an 8 night cruise to a 4 or 5 nighter.

Apparently you need smart people for smart elevators to work. People are just too lazy to change for the better.

Don't I know it! Come to the airport! Whether its ground, air or at sea human nature can be lazy and hesitant towards change. However I noticed on both Horizon cruises the "smart elevator system." Seemed overwhelmed. Thousands of cruisers accessing the elevators at the same time drives many to take the stairs. A smart elevator system with greater capacity, bandwidth would work better. However the cost factor goes up and even a few inches of ship real estate are finite commodities.
