I have two WJ credits.  One is to expire in May and the second one in July of this year.  I don't plan of flying due to current medical problems. 

 

If I book a flight then cancel it the next day, will I get another credit?

 

It seems impossible to talk to anyone at WJ right now to ask.  Frankly I don't know why there is an expiry date as my AC credit does not have one.

Yes I did it twice in December 2021....and your expiry date gets extended when i did it.... :)

I believe that the issue of extension is related to when it was originally booked/cancelled.  Also, you can pay a fee to extend it.

You can select a time from those available.

They call back as promised thus saving you hours on hold

There used to be an option to pay about $25 to extend travel bank credits for an additional two years.  You might want to ask if that’s still an option.

Just before this last Christmas, I extended my WS credit from April this year to April 2023.  It was an odd price to do it. $21. I was told it was a 1 time thing only which is ridiculous.  I wrote them a  e-mail soon after telling them so and what they should do. I am sure they will give it the same attention and consideration that WestJet and Air Canada provide to all its loyal customers. 😉
