I, too, thought the shrimp tonight were smaller than earlier in the week.

I had funnel cake at snack shake.  Yummy!   

You have piqued Mrs. S, is Snack Shake onboard or was that on the Island? She heard Funnel Cake and said let’s go at 5:30 am 😆

@Sunshine3601 indicated we are at 3281 passengers. Not fully sure off hand what % wise to full capacity that works out to though.

Good Morning Cruise Critics and welcome to day 5 … wait WHAT… day 5 already… no say it ain’t sooo.. of our Semi-Live from Anthem of the Seas…

 

 We had an excellent nights rest in the Dr. Seuss Suite last night. After dinner we just strolled around, Mrs. S had a bit more luck 🍀 in casino Royale while iI continue to donate to the casino college fund 😭  

 

We are slowly approaching Nassau and as of now we are trying to decide if we are getting off to visit Atlantis or staying onboard…

 

 

Mrs. S seems to think Nassau has an outdoor mask requirement but have not been able to confirm that. Either way look back later for some updates from wherever the day takes us!

We arrived late and walking around it was fine, we did notice many of the chairs at the beaches were spoken for but did not really sit at the beaches. I am sure if you asked they would find you a space.

 

We found many places to sit and see the water and people watch, so overall I think it does a good job of dispersing crowds.

I think double occupancy is 4280.

Looks like will have some more great weather today.

Last I read on cc threads for Nassau was no masks outside but shops and other indoor facilities still required masks.    Some shops even wanted to see cdc vax cards in recent past.    Not sure about that.

Did you need to apply for the Bahamas Travel Visa to go ashore?  Their website is very unclear as to whether it is needed for cruise passengers.

If arriving via Cruise Ship and a US Citizen then no, if other Nationality maybe as I an nit sure, but no for US Citizen’s

If you arriving via cruise ship for a day trip, no need to their travel visa.    If you are fly in then yes, you must complete their health / travel visa.

We decided to take a quick run off the ship and checkout the port area and local shops on the streets by the port…

Disembark with a little seating area for those weary returning from a day in the sun…

 

 

Be sure to have your seapass and ID..

RCI reports capacity as % of double occupancy (4180), so about 78% capacity. Anthem routinely was in the 110% capacity range pre COVID.

Strolled along a few blocks to see some of the Knick Knack Shops… all while running the gauntlet of Taxi Hustlers and Island Tour operator…

Be sure to look 👀 both directions before crossing….

 

 

Turned down a few side alley’s with many shops not or just opening….

 

 

Weather is perfect for being out…

 

 

Moseyed down to the World 🌎 Famous Straw Market… most stalls closed or just preparing to open… (note masks are required to enter Market)

 

I think George Washington  once said you can’t drink all day if you don’t start in the morning 🥸

 

 

Soon enough we determined we did not take a slow boat to just shop at a mall and decided after a few minutes between grabbing a taxi to Atlantis or returning to the ship to return to the ship… we have been to Atlantis and the water park many times and seriously thought to go grab a day pass but were unsure if they sold them or not given covid or only guests on excursions or at the hotel could get in the water park so decided to head back to de ship..

Snack Shack is on CocoCay...in addition to the funnel cake there's the secret sandwich that you have to ask for since it's not on the menu😄
