Mostonian Posted March 24, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2022 Can anyone tell me what kind of plug sockets are on the Queen Elizabeth. Thought I had read that it was a mix of of UK and US, but I can’t find the posting. Just in case it makes a difference we have a balcony cabin. Thanks. ovccruiser Posted March 24, 2022 #4 Share Posted March 24, 2022 There are 3 types, one UK, one EU and 2 US. We normally take an EU to UK adapter to give us the extra UK socket.
frankp01 Posted March 25, 2022 #5 Share Posted March 25, 2022 Not sure about the QE, but on the QM2, outside if your cabin you'll only find British sockets. I have sometimes wanted to plug in my laptop to work and now carry a US-British adapter about the ship to do so.

lissie Posted March 25, 2022 #7 Share Posted March 25, 2022 Remember that the US power sockets are only 110V - so for autosensing electronics they charge at 1/2 the speed compared to when plugged into EU/UK sockets at 220V

I love using it when we have 240 volts available. It makes the coffee in half the time. It's not auto-sensing, so we have to remember to set the voltage back to 110 when we get home or it takes forever to make a cup!
