Bananas27 Posted March 24, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2022 I always avoid the Casino as it's just not something I enjoy. However, after hearing about everyone's great offers, I definitely want to go lose $20 on my next cruise in hopes of snagging one of the great deals! So my question is, what do I do? Do I just go get some chips or play the slots or what? How do they know it's me?
sc4125 Posted March 24, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2022 You have to put your Sail N Sign in the machine (it will ask you to put in your birthdate and make up a 4 digit number to use as a passcode), put in the money and when you want to stop, you download what's left onto your SnS. I don't know that $20 would get you any of the deals. I hear they are based on the time you spend playing throughout the cruise - then again, a casino hostess told me years ago that it is based on the number of points you rack up. Either way, I don't know of anyone getting great deals by spending $20. I admittedly spend lots of time in the casino and the deals I got this year were some of the best I've been given. Now that everything is back up and running well, I doubt those fabulous deals will be offered next year.

This answer is correct. $20 isn't going to get you great offers unless you hit a hand pay on that $20. You can save yourself $19.22 by taking an .88 spin and get similar offers. Bananas27 Posted March 24, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted March 24, 2022 What's a .88 spin? What about entering a slot tournament? They are kind of fun but I haven't done one in 10 years or so!
May1cruiser Posted March 24, 2022 #5 Share Posted March 24, 2022 I have found offers are random. Had a family member spend $20 and get great offers, while we played next to her, had a few thousand points and got a "meh" offer. I also perceive offers will become less attractive now that the ships are filling up and people are using their free OBC from the pause.
ArchieCruise Posted March 24, 2022 #6 Share Posted March 24, 2022 $20 won’t get you any offers in general. To get offers you need to be willing to wager a lot more. For example: my wife gambled maybe $50 for the entire cruise and hasn’t gotten a single offer. I on the other hand spent about 2 hours a day in the Casino betting $20 a hand on blackjack. About a month after returning I started to see offers. The more you play (and bet) the greater your offers will be.

Your sail and sign does not go into the machine so no points are earned.

I spent $20 -- $10 in the cash crane and got nothing, $10 in the Cash Cube and won $2,500, both using my S&S card -- and got $0 cruise offers and DOU in the casino when I got back...never had anything like that before. I'm not sure if that qualifies as a "great" deal, but I HATED having to pass them up for work reasons. 🙂
Rudyard Posted March 25, 2022 #9 Share Posted March 25, 2022 We didn't gamble at all on our last cruise (which was a casino deal) and very little the two or three cruises before that. It's been years since we gambled any substantial amount, yet the offers are still coming in.

There are no slot tournaments presently due to Covid but if you are Platinum or Diamond the Casino will give you $25 to play with since they are not currently offering them. Play penny slots at the lowest bet and you might get lucky
