Does anybody have info and/or pictures of the 4 forward window cabins on deck 11 of the New Statendam (11001,11002, 1003, 11004). The Halfacts web which is usually very helpful, does not have much info on these and I dont know where else to look… thanks in advance for sharing

If it helps @FrankieSue we were on the Rotterdam in 11001 which is a NS in November .I think the view would be the same. Great view over the bow of the ship and perfect for going through the Panama Canal or glacier viewing. The crew will open the outside walkway at times like that and only the four cabins have access. The window is too high to see out from the couch but I’m sure your room stewards could find some bar stools. Sorry I don’t have any pictures. Hope this helps.

Just found some photos and apparently we were in 11006 not 11001. One other thing is note that there is no leg room between the chair and the wall panel on the balcony which only holds two chairs.  11006 is the corner room port side  No tub.F0BBAED8-37E4-4333-8F1B-67A2305600DA.thumb.jpeg.6a71177ba0a95573ca2e2c1e2a8a7f31.jpeg647D6BF8-A4EB-4C16-8216-AF5B200DE701.thumb.jpeg.849b744b977494dc2f64573c489da88c.jpegF9B4CFB1-E429-41CF-88B6-AD0785218ADA.thumb.jpeg.7e314c0f35dfd0bddd8ed066781c8fb6.jpeg9BD12DF7-9A28-404F-8A3D-F16373E3BE92.thumb.jpeg.68fc5248f51d7b40ab4bc21802b8d156.jpegB8AE1276-0C31-4A7D-B135-3A98EC482A9E.thumb.jpeg.ff68f130aa7a7faf301dd99ef1cc1827.jpeg

I have been collecting YouTube’s for these Pinnacle class ship forward cabins.  Most videos are very short but very helpful, 3 videos of forwards

We saw one of these cabins on the Nieuw Amsterdam.  We were impressed with the size. Even though we were told you might feel more sea movement being on a higher deck, we would book one of these front forward cabins in the future.

I plan to as soon as I walk onto my next cruise. We are not prone to seasickness and I rather like the rocking of the sea.   They look like a great perch and I like the idea of barstools at the window.

I uploaded my pics of 11001 on Koningsdam to halfacts. The cabin is OV facing forward. Should be similar on NS. There is a small deck in front of the window but is not accessible so no one walks in front of your window. The cabin is wider and deeper than our verandas have been. Bathroom is identical. We liked the space and would book again.

Over the last five months, we’ve been in an aft facing veranda on deck 6 (6214), starboard veranda (6195 and 6199), 11001, and currently in 11009 starboard veranda.

6214 is smallest. It is about a foot shorter than the starboard verandas. 6199 and 11009 have issues with storage, if that matters to you. There is a support post within the closet and behind the cabinet that results in all three drawers getting cut in half in depth. Part of that closet also can’t hang anything because the post is in the way.

Sorry for the lengthy post.

Do you have any specific questions?

The two neptune suites on deck 11 and deck 10 will also be given access to the front.  They have a balcony divider that can be easily opened up.

I saw this picture of the Koningsdam this afternnon.  It was from an article about return of ships to Canada.

The cabin on the top left  is 11005.  A balcony divider is opened up and a person on that deck 11 front balcony.
