Imabouttogiveup Posted March 30, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 30, 2022 (edited) Never been on Wind Surf does the room location make a difference on this small ship? Is there noticeable more motion in front and back then in the middle? Edited March 31, 2022 by Host Jazzbeau removed SHOUTING in title
ridethetide Posted March 31, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 31, 2022 The least motion will be felt midship on the lowest level.
Strenz Posted March 31, 2022 #3 Share Posted March 31, 2022 Ridethetide was correct. If you tend to have motion sickness, middle of the ship on the first floor is where you want to be. When you look at the deck plans and draw a line up all regular cabins are really center. The only disadvantage of being on the first floor is when the ship goes into a dock there are water tight doors that close at both ends of the floor so to go to a floor higher you have to use the center stairs. This lasts only a few minutes. We have mostly been on the lower deck and we love the gentle rocking, 27 times we have cruised on the sailing ships of WS, we never even accepted upgrades because we loved it. We accepted a suite over Christmas on the 3rd floor my husband really loved it, me yes it was nice but if I have to go back down simply fine as long as I am on a sailing ship of WS. Since we had so much in FCC we will go back to that suite in October as a treat for my husband, but in the Caribbean in 2023 back down. I did notice at Christmas more of a rocking motion than below. For us no problem but I do understand the misery of motion sickness. Hope this helps. Happy Sailing.
