Viking - Alaska Excursions Added??

We are a few days away from being able to book our excursions on Viking's Alaska Cruise.  Many of the excursions are already booked.  Does anyone know if Viking ever adds excursions or should we book privately with a tour company at the port.  They have been vague on the phone.  I'm specifically thinking about whale watching in Juneau.

My guess is that you will find lots of whale watching tours if you look around and almost certainly at far better rates than what Viking offers.

Also great whale watching out of Icy Strait Point. And, the Kenai Fjords Park tour out of Seward is first class.

There are many companies at most ports that cater  to  cruise folks.  Some will even guarantee that you will get back to your ship on time.  If not they pay to get you to next port, hotel expenses and all.

You could book a  whale watching tour out of Juneau through a local . We booked through Harv and Marv.  https://www.harvandmarvs-juneau-whale-watching.com/    They received outstanding reviews from Trip Advisor and will pick you up in town or at the boat.
