Last-Minute Luxury promo somehow better than before?

Celebrity is offering a "Last-Minute Luxury" promo that appears to be identical to the promo they have been running recently (Elevate free with OBC, 25% off). Yet when I do a price comparison with something I booked just over a week ago, the price is considerably lower. The base fare is nearly identical but somehow the discount for Elevate is greater than before.

 

I can't explain why, but my combined savings for 2 cruises was over $1200.

The mysteries of the pricing algorithms.  Usually one promo ends up similar to the next and the next, and the next, etc.  If you are coming out ahead, then good for you and I wouldn't worry too much about trying to figure out their math.  Maybe it just gets better as the "last minute" gets closer to really being the "last minute".  😉
