“I can’t believe it’s not butter” IOS 25-29 April 2022

On our visit to the MDR on the independence, this is what was on the table in the butter container. The head waiter explained that it is margarine. The taste was horrible. I just wonder how sanitary it is and is it intended for multiple guest consumption.

Hydrogenated oils are SO last century.

Its not margarine, and it is changed out with all the other linens and service ware between consumers

I want margarine with my dinner rolls, not butter. In the MDR the first night I tell the waiter and eventually they find some margarine. Every night after that when we arrive at the table there is a plate of margarine already on the table. Same thing on two different cruises. One of the advantages of traditional dining over MTD.

Strange. It looks kind of like whipped butter.  What happened when you aked the waiter dor real butter?

They have been serving whipped butter on Celebrity for as long as I can remember.

We were on the Ovation and the Wonder, and had packets of butter on the tables.

LOL , Do you really think they will recycle the butter / margarine and serve used

portions to other guests.
