All Passenger-Carrying HAL ships have been consistently Orange for a number of weeks. On May 11, there was a one-day improvement (Eurodam went from Orange to Yellow then back to Orange), which was the first improvement of a HAL passenger-carrying ship in 4 weeks. Zuiderdam had a brief improvement on May 12 (to Yellow) and Friday, May 13 (to Green), but by the 5/16 data was back to Orange. Zaandam started carrying passengers on 5/12 and became Yellow with 5/13 data and Orange with the 5/17 data. It should be noted that Crew-Only Westerdam has been Green since the data submitted on January 21. Edited May 19, 2022 by syesmar

What are they doing on the Westerdam? Let's copy that fleetwide. Are they just out on the ocean somewhere floating? Or are crew coming on and off quarantining until posted on other ships? I would try anything to keep the counts down. I am confused why so many are complaining about indoor mask wearing... the alternative of getting quarantined and having a trip ruined seems so much worse, and on some ships counts on and off seem to be nearing 10-20% positive if you believe roll-call and FB group reports.

Possibly not the best business approach fleetwide. 🍺🥌

Do you know? Guessing it’s a staging ship and embarking crew go directly into quarantine for a specific number of days. (Used to be 10, I believe.) That would keep spread to an absolute minimum. LadderCo2 Posted May 22, 2022 #32 Share Posted May 22, 2022 We just got off an RT Vancouver Alaska trip on Koningsdam May 14. They did not advertise it, but all you had to do was go to the customer desk and register for the Friday COVID testing. You received a time, and ship medical staff tested everyone that signed up. Approximately 30 minutes later if you did not receive a phone call in your room, you were negative. Your results were then delivered to your room that evening. According to the Medical staff, nobody tested positive from those of us that signed up. The testing was free. I do not know if there was testing at the shoreside or not. Per the Captain, ship staff were tested twice daily.
