Rare OzKiwiJJ Posted May 12, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2022 First trying going in through Princess.com.au and see what happens. Also if you have been clicking on links from Princess Facebook offers that aren't specifically for the Australian market those will come up in US pricing, and any s p ecial offers may not apply here. Go to the Princess Australia website directly. The banners will show what offers are available here. The other possibility is that you are using a browser that conceals your location so the Princess website thinks you're in the US.
judithann423 Posted May 12, 2022 Author #3 Share Posted May 12, 2022 Many thanks for your reply. I think it must be your last suggestion regarding the browser. Will try again
Cascade1 Posted May 12, 2022 #4 Share Posted May 12, 2022 (edited) Yes, it's an interesting one isn't it? Cannot help you but nearly got caught thinking there was a significant price drop on a couple of upcoming cruises I had booked when suddenly I realised the newly quoted prices were in USD. I could have mad a fool of myself ringing up Princess to get the new price only to be told the obvious. I was checking the prices on my iPad. The interesting thing is that the prices shown are in USD on my iPad and in A$ on my Mac computer. Cascade1 Posted May 14, 2022 #7 Share Posted May 14, 2022 Yes, on my iPad the prices will show in A$ if I log in and in US$ if I don't log in, however on my Mac I don't have to log in to get the prices in A$ they show up automatically.

Rare arxcards Posted May 14, 2022 #9 Share Posted May 14, 2022 To the original question, you are doing nothing wrong. It is about If I have a clean install on a PC, or are using a different one at work, many of the cruise lines will open as the US version, but usually ask your location or default to the US. Once they know you are from a particular location, the cookie personalises your experience every time you return. Privacy settings on some PCs can prevent cookies from working. Yes, logging-in is also a way of letting them know where you are from, and they will personalise your browsing. In the case of Princess, I would think that if you type their address as .com.au it should also go straight to Aussie pricing.
