Shore excursions

We used shorebee to find tips and excursions in many ports of call. It looks like their website doesn’t work anymore. Any alternative or suggestions?

Look around for vendors at each port (which you don't provide for us) that are covered extensively here on the board.

 

Shorebee is (was?) a tour broker. That means they take your money, and seek a low bid local contractor. This means good prices, also provides the possibility of complications when there is a problem and you are trying to contact someone and get a resolution.

 

Very frequently recommended here to use only local vendors.

Tripadvisor is great for local knowledge.  Or you can post your ports and interests (museums, city experiences, adventure, etc)  here for advice

On our cruise earlier this month we only did one private excursion, but I can highly recommend www.klaipedatours.lt out of Klaipeda, Lithuania, if that's one of your stops.  They responded promptly by email, created a customized tour for us based on what we wanted to see, and our tour guide (Mindaugas) was a wealth of knowledge, a good driver, and found us the perfect local place to have a traditional Lithuanian lunch.
