I used Port Valet on my cruise from Seattle.  Was able to sign up on board and got my plane boarding pass and airport luggage tags in my cabin.  Attached my luggage tag to my bag and put it out the night before and then didn't see it again until baggage claim back home in Chicago.  It was fabulous.  The other nice thing was that you got a free pass if your bag was overweight.  I get a free bag checked with my AA cc, so only had to pay the $20 fee which got charged to my S&S card.  Totally worth it since I got to wander Seattle suitcase free until my 3:30 flight.

May I ask when you used port valet?  Apparently Carnival is not participating right now, as I've heard.  We are going next week on this cruise and had hoped to use it.
