Cabin 11007 on the Riviera

Good Morning Everyone,  we have always travelled on deck 10 of the Riviera.  We are very late in trying to get a Caribbean Cruise for February, 2023.  Have found one but only availability was cabin 11007.  Have read tales many years ago about being too close to the bridge and lights at night as well as the overhang from deck 12.   Can anyone that has stayed in either that cabin or any of the other ones near the bridge offer their thoughts.  Much appreciated as have just a few days to decide.

Thanks, Wayne

We stayed in 11001 on Marina and were not bothered by the lights.  We also were not bothered by foot traffic to and from the bridge.  The over hang was a mild annoyance that did not interfere with our use of the balcony.

We've been in 11011, so just a couple doors down.

First, we preferred the overhang, so we wanted Deck 11.  DH needs to minimize direct sunlight, so this was a potential way for some extra shade, depending upon position of ship and sun, etc.  We weren't going on a cruise where there would be mountain tops to see, so the horizontal and mostly up view was more than adequate.  We specifically chose forward, to be under the Oceania suites and not the public decks.

Yes, we could see the officers in the Bridge if they were out on the side, but not much.  Your view would be a bit closer.  We figured, they've "been there, done this", and they are unlikely to be interested in watching us sleep or read on loungers on the balcony.  It was easy to forget about them entirely.

And the Executive lounge is right down the hall, perfect for DH's caffeine fix (when he wasn't at Baristas!).

We love the location.

Sailed in 11010 in Feb, and loved the location. No issue from the bridge lights, and we like the overhang (especially as we sailed out of port on embarkation day in the middle of a massive thunderstorm). And as mentioned previously, the location puts you between cabin decks, so no noise from the pool deck overhead. In fact, we liked it so much, we've booked 11012 on Marina for our transatlantic.

There are always people who drop out at final payment so have your travel agent check to see if anything opens up that you might like better.
